The Lord Will Fight For Us

The Lord will fight for us
Be still, keep silent, remain calm

The Lord will fight for us
Praise Him, adore His indwelling alms

Of justice and righteousness
Over all believers He reigns

The Lord will fight for us
Keep silent, allow Calm to sustain

Sing praises to The Most High God
Do not be afraid!

Take your stand, be confident
In His salvation for you this day

Blessed is the Nation
Whose God is the Lord

Praise Him, Worship Him
Be forever restored

By His Grace, by His Mercy
His Majesty Reigns

The Lord Will fight for us
Because He died for us

That we would
FOREVER BE SAVED!

Walking In The Spirit

To walk in The Spirit
Is to obey The Lord
His nudging, His promptings
Are not to be ignored

The wee small voice
The knowing deep inside
Is The Advocate, The Counselor
Your Majestic Guide

Steering you along life’s journey
Helping you find your way
Guiding your steps, guarding your tongue
Throughout each and every day

But you must walk with Him
And talk with Him
To know
The Savior’s voice

He’s given us all
Free will
So we have to make
The choice

To drown out conflicting voices
That clamor for our attention
Heeding only to His Call
Kneeling in submission

To The Master, The Savior
Our Glorious King
Who left us His Holy Spirit
To remind us of all things

The Lord Jesus said and did
While He was here, in the flesh
So we could mimic His walk
And forever be refreshed

By His Radiant Glory
His Light and His Love
Walking in The Spirit
Of The Lord God from above

My Strength

You are my strength
My courage, my confidence
You alone
Make me whole

You are my source
Of living water
You quench the thirsting
In my soul

For connection
For acceptance
For relationship
I seek You

Wonderful
Counselor
Mighty God
I extol You

You are my rock
My refuge in weakness
You are my shield
My armor at war

Protecting
Providing
Promoting
Preventing

Satan from inflicting battle scars

Yes, You O Lord
Are a shield around me
You cover me
With the shadow of your wings

I rest in Your peace
That passes all understanding
You give me strength
You are my everything

Why We Believe

Saturated by the Holy Spirit
Soaked in the Savior’s love
Washed by the blood
Of my sweet Jesus
Drenched in His unfailing love

Misty-eyed when I think of the burden
He carried for me at such a great cost
Paying my debt of selfish pride and bad decisions
When His hands and His feet were nailed to the cross

All for my life
He gave up His freely
Only that I should believe on His name
A Savior laid down His life for my weakness
Dying for my sin
My Belief in Him …His only gain

For He knew I would need
A King to be my Savior
To Rescue me
From the world and the flesh

His body beaten and scourged
All for my healing
By His stripes we are healed
We are All refreshed

No greater love
Has man than the Father
No greater love
Has man than the friend

We find in Jesus
Our Lord and our Savior
We believe because we know
HE IS COMING AGAIN!

The Rescue

I wandered off the beaten path
Into obscurity
But The Good Shepherd left the 99
To rescue even me

No one was more astonished
That He came to seek me out

But He said
No one was more important
And that
I should never doubt

His unconditional love for me
His willingness to find

Any wayward soul
Back-slidden
Lost sheep
On the mountainside

For we are all His sheep
Of this we should never forget

And He will scour the Earth
To rescue us
For our worth
Was His blood’s debt

Yes! He will always
Leave the 99
To rescue
Just the “one”

For His love magnifies
Exemplifies
The Father’s Love
For The Son

Uplifted

I lift up my hands
My voice rings praise
I lift up my eyes
Toward Heaven – gaze

I lift up my heart
In song – rejoice
I lift up my ears
To hear Your voice

I lift up prayers
To You – requests
You answer, No
Wait – for the Yes

A thankful heart
You’ve given me
To You I owe
My everything

I lift up my soul
An offering
You lift up my head
I praise You – King

My Maker My Mirror

Today’s post was inspired by a message from Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in North Carolina entitled: My Maker is my Mirror.

My Maker My Mirror
– Marie H. Fitts
I am your maker
I am your mirror
I see you as you truly are

You are beautiful
My beloved
For I took each and every scar

To shield you from
The wrath of the Father
I took your stripes upon myself

My body stripped of dignity
I paid your ransom
With My wealth

I purchased the image
For you to see
When you gaze into the looking glass

For I am your maker
I am your mirror
Your reflection is Me…just glance

The Valley

I didn’t see it coming
This valley below
I didn’t see it coming
So how could I know

I would trip over my actions
And the sharp words you said
I didn’t see it coming
And stumbled into dread

Of the sunrise each morning
What each day would bring
A way out of the valley
Or the same old thing?

No I didn’t see it coming
My focus was blurred
But you can’t believe everything
You’ve seen or you’ve heard

Regarding the valley

Did you know it disappears in
plain sight?
But lurks in the darkness
To trip you up in the night

And I didn’t see it coming
It caught me off guard
It trapped and imprisoned me
The days there were extremely hard

But I heard a still small voice speak
Unfolding in glory
And little did I know
The valley was a huge part of my story

So, no I didn’t see the valley coming
But it made me stronger each day
And without the valleys in my life
I would have nothing to say

To offer encouragement
To others just like me
Who’ve walked headstrong
Right into the valley

Not anticipating getting lost
Or falling off course
Never expecting the valley
To be the greatest source

For intimacy with my beloved
My Jesus, my King
No, I wouldn’t trade my valley experience For anything!

A Still Small Voice

Have you ever known God to be silent
You’ve prayed for guidance
Yet, your way is not clear

Have you ever felt God was preoccupied
With things more important
Than the cause of your tears

Do you think your connection to heaven
The spiritual frequency
Where you’ve tuned in

Because of your disobedience
Has
Shorted out…again

Remember, God is no respecter of persons
What He’s done for one…He’ll do for you
Trust Him during the silence

But, listen carefully to make the next right move

His word says He will give you
The desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4)
I, for one…believe it’s true

When you take delight in The Lord
You must keep the faith
Through the valley …and through His silence too

Just put one foot
In front of the other
Follow the light… and it will surely prove

When His silence
Seems so loud… it’s deafening
A still small voice will give the right clues

Protected in Righteousness

When anxiety attacks
We must fight back
Take up the weapons of The Lord

Don’t ever forget
That you are equipped
By The Spirit with a helmet and sword

Put on the full armor of God
Take Your stand
Against the devil’s schemes

For our struggle
Is not against flesh and blood
God’s word explains what this means

In The Good Book of Ephesians
Begin at Chapter 6 and verse 10
If you don’t understand it, read it over and again

For there are rulers and authorities
Living in this dark world
Forces of evil lurk in the heavenly realms

But fear not dear one
Stand firm, stand your ground
For The Lord, God, Jehovah is at the helm

When You have the belt of His truth
Buckled at your waist
The breastplate of His righteousness firmly in place

When Your feet are fitted with
The Gospel of Peace
All of Heaven’s Angels will be released

To come to Your aid…weapons drawn in hand
You’re protected in righteousness at
The Lord God’s command

Yes You are equipped and empowered
To stand firm in the spiritual realm
For The Lord, God, Jehovah is at the helm
