Help us to remember then
We are – Inside the Ark
When thunderous waves crash
Against the bow
Help us to discover how

We are the Righteousness
Of God in Christ
Believing gives each of us
The right
To claim our refuge
From the storm
Where we will be kept
Safe and warm – Inside the Ark
If I am in Jesus and He is in Me
We are in the Father
Don’t you see?

It is when gale-force winds
Relentlessly blow
Believers in Christ have come to know
We are – Inside the Ark
Inside the Ark that Noah built Symbolically saved from all guilt
We deserved to be wiped off
The face of the earth
Yet He loved us so much
Enough to preserve
Mankind from His wrath
On judgment day
So Believers now too
Can stay – Safe Inside the Ark
His promise, His protection
His provision – fare
His compassionate, lovingkindness
And care
Surround us when we gather
There – Inside the Ark
When things don’t appear as they seem When pantomime enters the scene
A mastery of deception
Becomes the theme
Only Believers awake from nightmares
Or bad dreams – Inside the Ark
Refuge is provided to sustain
Believers caught
In life’s
Torrential rains
No ticket needed for the train
Inside the Ark
When stormy, treacherous seas
Surround
Or flood waters amass and
Cover the ground
Even then…
When we fall face down
We are – INSIDE THE ARK
