The Rescue

I wandered off the beaten path
Into obscurity
But The Good Shepherd left the 99
To rescue even me

No one was more astonished
That He came to seek me out

But He said
No one was more important
And that
I should never doubt

His unconditional love for me
His willingness to find

Any wayward soul
Back-slidden
Lost sheep
On the mountainside

For we are all His sheep
Of this we should never forget

And He will scour the Earth
To rescue us
For our worth
Was His blood’s debt

Yes! He will always
Leave the 99
To rescue
Just the “one”

For His love magnifies
Exemplifies
The Father’s Love
For The Son

  1. We are a small charity in UK called Olive Bearers. The site is olivebearers.org.uk As you will see, we profess to be Christians who are grafted into the Olive Tree. We love your image ‘Grafted in and Grateful’ and wondered if you would give us permission to included it in our website?

    Every blessing,

    1. Absolutely! My apologies for the delayed response. I’m honored you have found my work and would like to share it. The pic is one I took from my family’s time spent on Pickwick Lake off the Tennessee River in the United States. God’s handiwork continues to inspire and mesmerize my soul!
Much love to you and your followers.
      Joyfully,
