Scripture Reference: I Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it”.
Every time we are enticed to disobey God
With our thoughts, words, or actions
We must choose whether to walk in step with the Lord
Or Move toward Satan’s distraction
Satan is a fallen angel
He is the original source of sin
He continues to spread lies to this day
He’ll keep doing it over and over again
Satan’s timing is perfect..he waits to ensnare us
When we are the most vulnerably weak
But our limits of temptation are set by The Lord
Providing a way out… so that we can defeat
The sinful nature of a fallen world
That continually yields to temptation
But our defense is reliance on God’s word
In every situation
So when the devil comes
With tempting suggestions
Don’t argue or engage him
In conversation
But immediately
Cling to the Word of God
He will provide a way out
Of every temptation
We have no power
To beat the devil at his game
He won’t use the same tactics
With all of us
No, he customize’s them
To our personality and weakness
His lies are cunning
Crafty and ingenious
To consistently live in victory
We build a wall of truth around ourselves
When our minds are filled with scripture
We’ll respond like Jesus would himself
Each time we successfully fend off temptation
With God’s Word, our faith grows…it’s ignited
With assurance and confidence in God’s faithfulness
We’re never alone, His Spirit lives inside us
And He will give us the strength
To resist temptation
When we cling to His Word and
Use it
To defeat the tempter
in every situation
Call on the name of The Lord
He will prove it

Temptation is an enticement
To act against God’s Will
And this is exactly
What Satan does best
So use the armor of God
Against temptation
And you too
Will pass every test
